The Literacy Volunteers of Campbell County Library will hold its annual Chocoholic Frolic on Friday, Feb. 10, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Rustburg Library and on Saturday, Feb. 11, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Timbrook Library.
Bakers and tasters are needed. You can enter your best chocolate dessert and compete for awards, or you can be a chocolate taster and vote for your favorite treat. Takeout boxes will be available if you wish to take goodies home to your Valentine.
There is a $5 suggested donation for tasters and those who get a takeout box. All proceeds benefit the adult literacy program.
New for 2017: There will be a Young Bakers Category. Anyone who is age 16 and younger can enter their favorite chocolate dessert for an opportunity to win a prize.
Entry forms for bakers are available at the Rustburg and Timbrook libraries. Rustburg Library is located at 684 Village Highway, Rustburg. Timbrook Library is located at 18891 Leesville Road, Lynchburg.
Eat chocolate, support literacy—it’s a “win-win” situation.
