Items for Recycling

The following recyclables are accepted at the Livestock Road transfer site:

Aluminum

• Aluminum foil wrap and foil pans
• Aluminum food and beverage cans
  • Rinse and flatten, if practical

Steel & Bi-Metal Cans

• Steel and bi-metal food and beverage cans
  
  • Ensure food and beverage cans are rinsed
• Steel lids from glass jars
• Bottle caps
• Can tops and bottoms

Mixed Paper

• Non- glossy magazines, junk mail
• Phone books, office paper
  • Remove staples

Newspaper

• Newspaper, colored inserts
  • Remove non-paper items
  • Keep paper dry
  • No paper bag

Used Motor Oil

• Not mixed with antifreeze
  • Deliver oil in closed containers

Tires

• Per County Code Chapter 12, Section 12-16.1, County residents may dispose of 8 tires per year, in loads of up to 4 tires at a time, at the Livestock Road transfer site only.
