Avoiding Common Healthcare Scams

Wednesday, March 5, 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Timbrook Library

This free presentation for adults will help empower you to recognize common scams, to understand the tactics of scammers, and to learn how to protect yourself from future scams. For more information, contact Sarah at 434-332-9658 or smjohnson@co.campbell.va.us

Opera on the James

Saturday, March 15

Timbrook Library at 11 a.m. and 

Staunton River Memorial Library at 3 p.m.

Performers from Opera on the James will present “Hansel & Gretel.” This free performance is suitable for children and families.

Coding Hour for Kids

Thursday, March 13; Thursday, April 24; and Thursday, May 15, 3:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Patrick Henry Memorial Library in Brookneal

Our fun and interactive coding hour for kids teaches them the basics of coding, problem solving, and creative thinking. Free. For kids ages 7 – 12 and their families.

Celebration of National Agriculture Day

Wednesday, March 19, 3 – 5 p.m.

Patrick Henry Memorial Library in Brookneal

This free program will have hands-on activities and demonstrations of a farmer’s life, how food and fiber products are produced, livestock education, and the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant, and affordable products. Suitable for all ages.

Roots Club Presents a Portrayal of Peter Muhlenberg

Thursday, March 20, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Staunton River Memorial Library in Altavista

Join us for an engaging portrayal by Travis Witt as he brings to life the story of Peter Muhlenberg, a minister and soldier during the American Revolution. A free program for adults.

Book Talk and Signing with Heath Hardage Lee

Tuesday, March 25, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Rustburg Library

Heath Hardage Lee will discuss her book, “The Mysterious Mrs. Nixon: The Life and Times of Washington’s Most Private First Lady.” Lee will explore Nixon’s time in the White House, the challenges she faced, and her lasting impact on history. A free program for adults.

LEGO® Night

Friday, March 28, 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Timbrook Library

The library will be taken over by LEGO® bricks. Sort through piles and discover what you can create from your wildest imagination. This free program is for children in grades K – 6 and their families. Online registration is required at https://campbellcountylibraries.org/lego/.
