[ARCHIVED] Campbell County’s 5-year Strategic Plan to be Presented at Economic Development Summit Event

CCED Summit

RUSTBURG, VA - Campbell County Economic Development will host an Economic Development Summit on January 15, 2025, to unveil the new Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) 2025-2030.

This interactive session will allow the public to provide feedback on the year-long process' goals and initiatives.

Campbell County contracted with Phoenix Advantage Consulting to facilitate the CEDS development process. Miles Friedman and Michele Coe of Phoenix Advantage were scheduled to present the plan during the January 7, 2025, Board of Supervisors meeting, but due to weather conditions in their area, the Board presentation has been postponed. The consultants will provide an overview to the Summit attendees on January 15th, before the audience breaks off into smaller group guided discussions focused on specific aspects of the strategy.

“We are thankful for the high level of involvement that the Campbell County community has had throughout the CEDS process, from the group participation and one-on-one interviews to the numerous thoughtful survey responses,” says Coe. “This strong response led to meaningful insights which were incorporated into our final report. We are very excited to share this report with the community at the Economic Summit.”

The summit will be held at the Campbell County Training School Complex on Village Highway in Rustburg at 9 a.m. Shuttle service will be provided at the Social Services parking lot across from the Historic Courthouse due to limited parking at the event location. Shuttle service will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will provide return service following the event.
