From Tracy Fairchild, Director of Public Safety: Our area is slated for severe weather this afternoon and into the evening. Campbell County Public Safety is monitoring the weather situation and asks local residents to be prepared in case power outages, flash flooding and high winds. Please do not drive in storm conditions if at all possible, and never cross flood water on roadways.
Remember to only call 911 if you are experiencing an emergency; contact your power and/or internet providers directly if you experience outages.
If traffic lights are affected, treat intersections as four way stops.
