BROOKNEAL, VA – SML Aviation of Moneta, Virginia has entered an agreement with Brookneal Campbell County Airport Authority to operate their flight school at the Brookneal-Campbell County Airport as of May 1, 2025.
SML Aviation’s goal is to provide its students with the best flying experience at reasonable costs, whether they are learning to fly, want to rent an airplane, or would like a sightseeing ride. Over 600 students have been trained at their Smith Mountain Lake location. This expansion to Brookneal-Campbell County Airport will offer an additional location for the business, expanding their service area and customer base, while also increasing their ability to serve more students.
At least one airplane will be housed in the Brookneal airport for the flight school and some renovations of the existing FBO building will help adapt the FBO building’s interior to accommodate instructional needs.
