[ARCHIVED] National Weather Service Issues RED FLAG WARNING for Campbell County; Public Safety Advises Caution

CCVA News - Red Flag Warning

RUSTBURG, VA - The U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐—™๐—น๐—ฎ๐—ด ๐—ช๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด is in effect today from ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ  ๐—”๐—  ๐˜๐—ผ ๐Ÿณ ๐—ฃ๐—  today, March 26, 2025 for our locality.
Dry conditions and seasonable temperatures are expected across the region as high pressure builds into the region. The combination of these dry conditions and northwest winds gusting 25 to 35 mph could lead to the spread of wildfire.
This is in addition to the standard ๐Ÿฐ ๐—ฃ๐—  ๐—•๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ป ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ป in effect until April 30 which restricts open-air burning, especially within 300 feet of woodlands or areas with dry grass that could ignite a fire.
