When not being used for a Parks and Recreation activity or other individual/ organization as a rental, athletic fields are available for use by the general public. Acceptable usage includes individual exercise, pickup games, and informal practices by small groups. In this instance, the field is considered a shared, public space wherein no individual or group is empowered to turn away others.
Fields are not to be used during wet and/or soggy conditions. If a moderate rain persists for more than 15 minutes, if thunder and lightning are present, or if the turf “squishes” underfoot, play should cease immediately. Play should only resume with the authorization of Parks and Recreation personnel. Damages to athletic fields due to play in wet conditions will be billed to the responsible party.
Reservations are required when using fields for formal games and/or if the space is needed exclusively by an individual or group. Fees vary based on location.
Reservations for park facilities, such as athletic fields and pavilions must be made through our online system at least 2 days prior to the date needed. Parks and Recreation sponsored activities and partner organization activities are prioritized before individual use. Fees must be paid at the time of reservation. The account with which the reservation is made is considered the “responsible party.” Any damages, complaints, or issues with policy are the responsibility of the responsible party.
