Campbell County Public Safety Partners with National Weather Service (Blacksburg) to Offer Online SkyWarn Weather Spotting Training

RUSTBURG, VA - Campbell County Department of Public Safety is pleased to have partnered with the National Weather Service (Blacksburg) to offer free Basic and Advanced Storm-Spotting and Weather Safety (SkyWarn) trainings for citizens.

The details are as follows:

BASIC SPOTTER SKYWARN CLASS

• Thursday, October 16, 2025
• 6:00 - 8:00 PM
• VIRTUAL 

These informative two-hour sessions are FREE, geared toward anyone interested in weather and/or anyone seeking to become an official storm spotter. 

If you have ever wanted to be an official storm spotter, or are just interested in weather, we encourage you to attend. All ages are welcome; those interested may register at: www.weather.gov/rnk/skywarn.
