Outdoor Events Safety Tips

Stay hydrated while traveling to and throughout the duration of the activity.

Locate where first-aid services are offered on site; find where on site security stations and exits are located.

Learn where to seek shelter in case of severe inclement weather or other emergencies.

Find a shaded area if feeling
overheated; seek medical attention if experiencing nausea, dizziness,
muscle weakness, headache, or increased perspiration.

Wear sunscreen, head covering, and lip balm.

Attend children closely; have a
family plan indicating who to call and where to meet if separated; keep
cell phones charged and available.

Bring any essential medications and other necessary medical items.

Dress appropriately for warm temperatures yet bring jackets or other additional clothing in case of weather.

Be prepared to wait in traffic following a large event. Make sure your vehicle has plenty of fuel before arriving.
