Central Virginia Area Agency on Aging, Inc. now has a care manager available at the Irene Lewis, Campbell County Café senior dining center at New Vine Baptist Church, 616 Old Rustburg Road, Thursdays 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to assist individuals over age 60 in identifying the most appropriate services for their needs as well as linking seniors and their caregivers to the agencies providing the necessary services. On May 12, 2010 Campbell County Social Services, along with other area Social Services departments, will hold the 2nd annual free Senior Awareness Day Live and Learn at Timberlake United Methodist Church, Lynchburg,  from 8:30 to 3:00.

The Department of Social Services is administered by a Social Services Board appointed by the Board of Supervisors.  The Social Services Board meets every 3rd Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Social Services Building, 69 Kabler Lane, Rustburg, Virginia.
