Summer Playground
The Recreation Department offers a Summer Playground program, free of charge, for children ages 5 to 10, at seven elementary school sites throughout the County. Crafts, games, and creative free play bring children back year after year for Summer fun. Call the Recreation Department at 332-9570, 283-9570, or 592-9570 for more guidelines and a tentative schedule. (Summer schedule is advertised in May).
Theme Park Tickets
The Recreation Department offers theme park tickets to Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Water Country, Wet-n-Wild, Hershey Park, and other popular attractions at significantly reduced rates. Tickets are sold March 19 through November 1 (on a cash only basis) from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Contact Amy Clark for ticket information and theme park schedules.

Games, holiday celebrations, special programs/guest speakers, crafts, music, delicious pot luck dinners and much more are offered for any senior citizen wishing to participate with this warm and hospitable group.
Altavista Senior Bingo

Brookneal Senior Center
Location: 239 Main Street
Brookneal, VA
Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

This friendly groups offers health checks, crafts, trips, wonderful covered dish dinners, films, games, and holiday celebrations make this center a fun-filled asset to the community. All seniors are welcome to join!
Concord Senior Center: Happy Hearts

Gladys “Goodtimers”

This traveling musical troop spreads joy to others with their songs, skits, and humor. By visiting care facilities, these seniors lift their voices and the spirits of all those who cross their paths.
