Reassessment Office
The Campbell County Reassessment Office was created in October 1999 by the Board of Supervisors, who felt the County could benefit from having general reassessments conducted by county staff instead of contracting with private appraisal firms.
State law requires that all property be assessed at 100% of fair market value and mandates equity throughout the County. Since the population of Campbell County now exceeds 50,000, the reassessment cycle will take place every 4 years instead of every 6 years, following the 2003 reassessment. The most reassessment was completed in 2007.
