The ideal candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills to dispatch law enforcement, fire, rescue and general governmental mobile units and other personnel in response to emergency and non-emergency situations via telephone, radio and computer systems, must be willing to work flexible shifts, nights, weekends and holidays. Must have graduated from high school or completion of GED equivalent, and possess one (1) year of experience.  Additional education and/or experience may be substituted where applicable.

Starting salary range: $23,112 - $25,754 depending upon qualifications and experience plus an excellent benefits package.

Campbell County Public Safety is looking for a motivated, forward thinking candidate to fill the position of Deputy Director (Fire Marshal).  An ideal candidate must have extensive knowledge of fire fighting techniques, the ability to perform investigations with accurate reports and records, as well as supervisory experience. Education requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Fire Science, EMS, Communications or Business Administration; related advanced education in fire, rescue, or law enforcement. Experience required includes four (4) years experience in a related field, and also requires two (2) years of supervisory experience.  Other requirements include certification as a Firefighter II, Hazmat Operations certification and EVOC certification.

Starting salary range: $34,150 - $38,051 depending upon qualifications and experience plus an excellent benefits package.
