[ARCHIVED] Campbell County Migrate to Twice-A-Year Tax Billing; First Cycle to Begin June 2022

CCVA News Item Template

RUSTBURG, VA - Citizens are reminded that Campbell County’s twice-a-year tax billing for real estate and personal property will begin in June. This means that the yearly tax amount, which in the past was due in full in December, has been divided into two installments; one due in June and the second in December.
Residents will receive tax bills this spring for the June 5 payment due date and again in the fall for the December 5 payment due date. These dates may vary if the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday.
You may pay the full year’s amount when making the June payment, however, those waiting until December to make a full payment will be charged a late penalty and interest on the amount of tax that was due in June.  As always, you may make additional pre-payments at any time throughout the year to minimize the amount of tax due in June and December.  Just indicate your account number with your payment and mark it as “pre-payment”.
Vehicle license fees will still be billed in full amount and only included in the June tax bill each year.
Please note that this change in tax billing is only applicable for real estate and personal property taxes; all other tax schedules remain the same.  Real estate tax relief applications for the elderly and disabled will coincide with the new billing schedule with the new due date mailed with application information this year.
Personal property and real estate taxes may be paid by check or money order via mail, online by credit card (at, or in person at the Campbell County Treasurer’s Office, 85 Carden Lane, Rustburg.

Contact the Campbell County Treasurer’s Office at (434) 332-9590 or the Campbell County Commissioner of the Revenue at (434) 592-9518if you have questions regarding the new billing cycles.
