CCUSA Bids Farewell to Administrator of 8 Years; Search for Successor Now Underway

CCVADPER News Item - Davis

RUSTBURG, VA - Former Campbell County Utilities and Service Authority (CCUSA) Administrator, Frank L. Davis, Jr., has announced his retirement, and the CCUSA Board is actively recruiting for his replacement.

Davis, who grew up in the Campbell County area, brought more than 27 years of utilities experience to the position, and dutifully served as an interim prior to being appointed as administrator in August, 2013.  During his eight year tenure, CCUSA was recognized multiple times (twelve years in a row) for the Excellence in Water Treatment Plant Performance award by the Virginia Department of Health Office of Drinking Water.

In fact, in 2017, Davis was recognized by the Campbell County Board of Supervisors for his and his staff's efforts in earning the coveted GOLD designation for excellence and clarity for exceeding standards in clarification, filtration and backwash.

“I have been both humbled and honored to work with the CCUSA Board, and its employees, who have worked tirelessly to ensure the highest quality water for Campbell County citizens,” said Davis.  "Their combined efforts defines what separates CCUSA among other utility companies, and I will miss working alongside these fine professionals.”

With the announcement of Davis’ retirement, the CCUSA Board is now launching an effort to find a more permanent successor.

“Campbell County Utilities and Service Authority has been rather fortunate to have had Frank’s leadership and expertise for the past eight years,” said Carter Elliott, (Rustburg District) Chairman of the CCUSA Board.  “He embodies what it means to be a public servant; he is known for his kind manner, fairness, diplomacy, and super dependable work ethic.  Under his direction, our customers have had quality water services, and only the best customer service. He has set the bar extremely high, and will be truly, truly missed.”
