RUSTBURG, VA - These days it seems like everything fun is being canceled. Sports. Going to concerts. Large family gatherings.
But not Halloween. Halloween is not entirely canceled, because now we have a drive-thru Halloween, courtesy of Campbell County Parks and Recreation Department.
Drive-in’s and drive-thru’s are big in Central Virginia these days, so Campbell County Parks and Recreation Department decided to host a spooktacular new event, geared towards all things Halloween – candy, costumes, and trunk or treat!
On October 31, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, participants will be able to drive through a trunk n' treat (Kabler Lane parking lot), and collect candy. The event, which will be held in Rustburg, in the parking lot across from the Historic Courthouse, will allow participants the opportunity to safely trick or treat, in their costumes all without getting out of their car!
“Our community just misses interacting with each other, so this was one we wanted to help pull people together for a little fun in a safe way,” notes program manager Mrs. Stormi Anderson. “We are inviting businesses and organizations to partner with us, so we can make this the best little Halloween Candy Cruise Thru ever!”
Those interested in handing out candy may complete a registration form by clicking http://www.campbellcountyva.gov/FormCenter/Parks-and-Recreation-8/2020-Halloween-Candy-Cruise-DriveThru-Tr-72, or you may contact Mrs. Anderson with questions by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org, or calling (434) 332-9570.
