Citizen Advisory: Campbell County Public Safety Shares Covid-19 Update; Encourages Safe Practices

Campbell County Public Safety is committed to serving our community in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While we are seeing some COVID-related impacts in our emergency response operations, our teams are monitoring, adapting and taking every precaution possible while still maintaining the highest levels of service to our residents.

However, as our first responders serve in a capacity that increases their risk of contracting COVID-19, we ask that citizens assist us in keeping our emergency teams operating effectively in the community:

1. Only call 911 if you are experiencing an emergency. This keeps our calls for service focused on those who need urgent care while minimizing unnecessary contact with the public.
2. Wear a mask upon any contact with Public Safety and Law Enforcement personnel. Meet emergency response teams outside, if possible, to minimize the potential for exposure.
3. Continue to follow CDC and VDH Guidelines (wear a mask, maintain 6 ft social distancing, wash your hands, cover coughs and sneezes, etc.).

Please help our first responders by doing your part to keep them safe!
