The Campbell County Board of Supervisors has scheduled a Strategic Development and Planning forum, to be held:

Date: Tuesday, September 18

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Location: Hyland Heights Baptist Church

11452 Wards Road

Rustburg, Virginia 24588.

Designed to draw public conversation on development and planning topics, participants will freely interact to ask questions and share their insights with subject matter experts in the fields of:

  • Environmental Management;
  • Infrastructure;
  • Quality of Life Services;
  • Law Enforcement and Public Safety;
  • Community Development/Zoning; and
  • Economic Development.

Officials invite residents to attend and convey their ideas and suggestions on (but not limited to):

  • current planning and development strengths.
  • areas in which Campbell County can grow and/or improve in its planning and development efforts.
  • new or untapped opportunities for growth.
  • new visions or partnerships toward future planning and development.
  • any perceived challenges to growth; any recommended solutions, (currently and in the years to come).

“The Board’s primary objective for this forum is to hear public feedback to guide their future efforts and decisions. This process supports our locality’s continued growth and ability to thrive in alignment with our residents’ views,” said Frank Rogers, Campbell County Administrator. “This shared information will be helpful as we approach another cycle of Comprehensive Planning updates and future resource and budget planning.”
