Officials have released the latest update for those impacted by the Thursday evening rainfall and flooding.
Rainfall: Officials are reporting that Campbell County got 7.5 inches of rain during the strongest line of yesterday’s storm. The National Weather Service estimates another ¾ inch of rain later today. However, there remains a possibility for even larger rainfall amounts if the weather system stalls over a specific region. For that reason residents are asked to remain alert and take the needed safety precautions in case flash flooding occurs into the evening/overnight.
