[ARCHIVED] Extension Office Plans to Hold Program for Those Considering Farming

The Campbell County Cooperative Extension Office will hold a program called “So you think you want to farm” on Friday, Oct. 20, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Central Virginia Community College, Merritt Hall, 3506 Wards Road, Lynchburg, Virginia.

The cost is $10 at the door and includes lunch.

The program will provide resources and information for making informed agricultural decisions on potential crops and livestock. It will run through a financial simulation of your first years of farming.

The program will feature assistance from Virginia Cooperative Extension, local insurance specialists, a local financial institution, a local government assistance agency, a local agricultural equipment dealer, and a local agricultural cooperative.
