Community Dev header_part for news item

Field work for the next Campbell County real estate reassessment will begin on Monday, July 17.
The Campbell County Board of Supervisors hired Wampler-Eanes Appraisal Group Ltd. to conduct the reassessment of all real property in the county.
Those doing the field work

• Will have identification
• Will have identifying magnets on their vehicles
• Will take pictures of some properties
• Will not be doing any interior inspections.

The field work will continue throughout 2017 and 2018.
State law requires that all property be assessed at 100 percent of fair market value and mandates equity throughout the county. Because the population of Campbell County now exceeds 50,000, the reassessment cycle takes place every four years.
The most recent reassessment was completed and became effective on Jan. 1, 2015. The field work beginning this year is for the reassessment that will become effective on Jan. 1, 2019.
Wampler-Eanes is located in Daleville, VA.
