The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a nationally acclaimed program and the largest volunteer program for adults age 55 and older. The local program began in 1972. RSVP has over 200 volunteers that serve over 40 local agencies in Central Virginia. It is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service and Campbell County.
The Campbell County Youth Advisory Council provides an opportunity for young people to learn more about the needs of the youth in their community, to work to meet those needs, and to advocate for youth to the county and the school administrations.
The council is sponsored by the Campbell County Parks and Recreation Department and the Campbell County Cooperative Extension Office.
